SARE Grant Opportunities

VA-SARE Professional Development Grants
SARE grants are administered on two different
levels. The following sections list information
regarding the national SARE program and the
grants it offers. Virginia Tech and
Virginia State University, the Virginia land
grant institutions, also receive a pool of funds
available to agency professionals for
professional development. These grants are
open to any agency employee seeking funding for
professional development activities in
sustainable agriculture. To apply for a
VA-SARE Professional Development Grant, please
complete a proposal using the
suggested
template. Completed grant proposals
should be forwarded to Maria Ignosh, Program
Assistant VA-SARE, at
mignosh@vt.edu. After an initial
review, proposals will be sent to the VA-SARE
committee for final approval. In most
cases, you will be notified of the outcome
within one month.
